OVERVIEW This CD is a copy of the original Watermead cassette recording from 1995. 'LIFE - a journey shared', a collection of original songs, hymns and instrumental meditations tracing time from the beginning of Creation to the completion of life in coming to God. The world is seen in terms of gardens and seasons of the year - the Old and the New Testament.

WATERMEAD STORY The hymns are sung by Watermead's first singers (including members of St Theresa’s parish choir) with instrumental backing from the composer, Alison Kennedy. It was the third cassette recorded from the apostolate's birth home. The original cassette was recorded in September 1995 at the White House Recording Studios, Syston and a total of 21 adults and 15 children took part. It is this cassette (affectionately described as “From the Womb to the Tomb” by the Vicar General of our Nottingham diocese) that drew wider attention to our music apostolate, receiving favourable reviews and many appreciative letters. It’s popularity, even long after the cassettes had sold out, encouraged us to arrange this transfer to CD in 2005.
